A woman diagnosed with a painful and debilitating eye disease has described how a Platinum Healing retreat cured her.

Jodie Moakes was diagnosed with Thygeson’s superficial punctate keratitis (TSPK) in 2008, a rare and chronic condition that causes an inflammation of the cornea. Symptoms including burning, light sensitivity and a feeling of foreign objects caught in the eye.

But after taking part in a Platinum Healing detox retreat, Jodie’s condition ‘disappeared’ and she has since been discharged by the ophthalmologist treating her at Western Sussex hospital.

In a letter to her doctor, the hospital’s eye specialist said: “I reviewed Miss Moakes today who had previously been under our care with Thygeson’s keratitis.  “She has recently completed a juice detox retreat and her eyes feel wonderful.”

He added that after examining Jodie’s eyes he found them virtually clear and was happy to discharge her from hospital.

Jodie said her condition meant she would be forced to wear sunglasses in any weather to reduce the discomfort and, at worst, was a virtual recluse in her own home.  She added: “They would water and start to close, sometimes I had to fight to keep them open. It was, at times, extremely debilitating. As it’s uncommon, it was hard for people to understand and take seriously, especially at work.”

In September 2015, Jodie went on a four-night juice detox retreat with Platinum Healing – and the results were staggering.

She said: “It never crossed my mind that this would help, let alone make it disappear! And that’s exactly what happened.

“We had juices made from organic fruit and veggies and learnt about nutrition and what should go into our bodies to support our whole system.”

By day three Jodie became aware of her recovery. She added: “I cannot express my elation when I realised what had happened. I was so relieved and felt so incredibly happy. By coincidence I had a hospital appointment at the eye clinic the next day…

“When I went, the doctor looked at my eyes through a lamp and confirmed that there wasn’t any sign of any lesions and the doctor discharged me.“This has made a huge difference to my everyday life and I couldn’t be more grateful to Platinum Healing. My eyes look better and I’ve received comments on how open and bright they look.
