Platinum Healing Limited – Covid-19 Secure Policy
Our retreat venue has the ‘We’re Good to Go’ UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark, to reassure our guests that we adhere to Government and public health guidance. We have a Covid-19 Risk Assessment and clear processes in place, for the safety of our guests and staff. Our consideration is to always put the safety of clients and staff first, whilst also creating a relaxed environment where clients can ‘retreat’ from the outside world. A stringent policy is now in place at the retreat venue to help safeguard everyone and to minimise risk. Our retreat team has the most up to date training in Health and Safety for a Covid-19 safe retreat. Our local suppliers also have stringent Covid-19 safety protocols in place. We are partnered with Moakes Health and Safety, to manage our health and safety and risk assessments to ensure that we are legally compliant to protect you, our staff and our venue to the best of our abilities.
Covid-19 Health Information and Lateral Flow Tests
All guests must inform us prior to arrival of their Covid-19 Health Information. All guests must complete a lateral flow test prior to arrival.
Bookings
We are unable to accept bookings from anyone who is considered extremely clinically vulnerable until further notice. We will review advance bookings accordingly when new data becomes available from the government website. Guests must have been in the UK for a minimum of 10 days prior to their arrival at our retreats and if necessary, the appropriate isolation undertaken if they have been abroad prior to that. We are unable to offer shared rooms to guests unless they come from the same household or support bubble. Guests who book and pay for a private room only will not be able to use the shared facilities within the private cottage. A separate entrance is provided, so no one will be mixing within any accommodation, unless they are from the same household/support bubble.
At the Venue
The Property and Space
The retreat sits in a very rural area, surrounded by nature and lots of space. Accommodations are well spaced out within the estate, which sits in acres of wonderful gardens and fields.
Occupancy
We have reduced our occupancy by 50% and now offer more of a private retreat experience. At this time guests will not be able to change the allocated room once they have entered. Please ensure that all room requirements are discussed at the time of booking and we will endeavour to fulfil these requirements. We also request that guests do not enter any bedroom or bathroom other than their own.
Check In/Out and Luggage
Staff will not be able to assist guests with luggage to their rooms. When showing guests to their rooms we shall keep the required distance and will not touch any of your personal items. Sadly, there will be no handshakes on arrival or hugs on departure. Departure time is 10am on Friday.
Staff
We will be limiting the number of staff in the buildings to accommodate social distancing, so we ask that guests bear this in mind. All staff members will have their temperature taken on entering the building and asked to stay away if they display potential symptoms. Some therapists can be available to you for remote one to one sessions if preferred via Zoom such as counselling, coaching, hypnotherapy etc.
Masks
All guests and staff will be required to wear a mask where social distancing is not possible and during your holistic treatments. Staff will be wearing masks when in close contact with guests and when preparing juices. Please familiarise yourself with how to safely wear, handle and dispose of masks. While we have masks as part of first aid kits, we are unable to provide masks for daily use for guests, so guests are required to bring a mask(s) with them.
Sanitising
We use sanitisers that are effective against bacteria as well as cold and flu viruses. Cleaning regimes for our kitchens reflect the need to reduce risk, as well as maintaining all normal expectations relevant to a food business regarding hygiene. We will safely control the movements of staff to maintain mandated social distancing measures. Hand washing of glassware and cutlery will be prohibited. A high temperature dishwasher will be used to wash ALL items. We will be frequently cleaning and sanitising objects and surfaces that are touched regularly.
Social Distancing Measures
Guests and staff are to keep the minimum safe distance of 2 metres from each other where possible. You may attend classes and daily check in for educational purposes only.
Ventilation
Windows and door will be frequently opened to help improve ventilation of all buildings. Please bring additional warm layers with you and bring them to any classes or therapies.
House Keeping
No member of our team is permitted to enter a guest’s room at ANY time during the retreat. One set of towels and bedsheets is given per retreat. No housekeeping is offered during your stay.
Welcome Bag
Guests will receive a welcome bag containing their handbook, supplements, detox teas and detox aids. The staff handling the packaging of these bags will be wearing a mask and gloves in a sanitised environment.
Room Keys
Rooms keys will be sanitised thoroughly prior to your arrival and left inside the bedroom door. Please leave your keys in the door of your accommodation when you check out.

We insist guests and staff follow the guidance on hand washing and hygiene. Wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently, for at least 20 seconds.
Hand Sanitisers
The venue will provide hand sanitiser around the property, please use these regularly as you enter and exit the buildings. It is also advisable to bring a handheld sanitiser with you.

Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Individual sanitiser wipes will be placed next to the water dispensers. Please wipe the handle before AND after use, with an alcohol sanitising pad provided. We will also be regularly sanitising the water stations.

Yoga
Our yoga rooms will be set up observing the 2-metre rule between mats. Depending on numbers we may also stagger classes to adhere to social distancing. Guests will be assigned one yoga mat to use for the entire duration of the retreat and this will be sanitised before and after use thoroughly. Please ONLY use the mat and equipment that has been allocated to you. We recommend bringing your own yoga mat if you have one and any blocks or belts if you usually practice with them. If not, we have sanitised mats and props available. There will be no sharing of any equipment.

Health
Covid-19 Symptoms
Please educate yourself on the common signs and symptoms of Covid-19; which are fever, dry continuous cough, recent alteration in taste or smell, high temperature and shortness of breath. Symptoms typically occur 1-14 days after exposure, though a small proportion of people who are infected do not have any symptoms.
If a guest suspects that they may have developed Covid-19 symptoms during their stay, they must stay in their bedroom and advise management ASAP via telephone, text or email. Any guest showing any symptoms will, in accordance with Government guidelines be asked to leave and return to their own home to self-isolate for the required length of time. They should use private transport and only drive themselves if they are well enough to do so safely, making no stops on their journey if possible. If a guest cannot travel home because they are either not well enough to do so, are unsure they are well enough to drive, or do not have any private means of transport, the Manager will have to discuss the situation with your emergency contact, the appropriate health care professionals or local authorities.
Travel
It is suggested that you travel to the retreat by car if possible, rather than public transport.
I no longer wish to travel, what are the options?
We will only run a retreat if it is safe to do so and we make our decisions based on UK FCO advice. If a retreat is going ahead and you decide to cancel, our normal terms and conditions and cancellation policy will apply. Your non-refundable 50% deposit can however be used as a credit for a future retreat, with no expiry date.
What happens if my flight is cancelled?
Please contact the airline to check what their terms of cancelation are. They should offer you an alternative flight, a refund or a credit. If there are no longer any flight options available to you, we may be able to move your booking to another retreat or offer you a credit to be used at any other time. Please get in touch immediately if your flight is cancelled to discuss your options.
What happens if the retreat is cancelled or postponed?
If new travel restrictions are put in place and we need to cancel the retreat, we will offer an open-ended date transfer and ask you to transfer your booking and payments to a new date. If you prefer a refund, you will be required to inform us 7 days after receipt of confirmation that the retreat date will be cancelled. A refund will then be issued within 14 days, and your non-refundable 50% deposit can instead be transferred for a future retreat date with no expiry.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an essential requirement for all our retreat bookings. You should have travel insurance that covers you for medical costs and repatriation, and it should also include Covid-19 cover. Insurance companies now offer to cover cancellation costs if you cannot travel due to contracting the virus or if you need to be tested, have treatment or self-isolate. All expenses for travel, testing, treatment or self-isolation will need to be covered by you, the guest.
Track and Trace
Try to reduce contact with others prior to your retreat with us. We recommend reducing contact by limiting travel, social events and the number of households and people you meet with. We cannot offer you a refund if you must cancel due to being notified you have to self-isolate. However, if we can resell your place, we can offer you a credit for a future retreat date. We highly recommend that if you decide to book a retreat with us, you start to reduce the number of people you meet from 14 days prior to the start date of the retreat so that you reduce the chances of being contacted by track and trace. If you are contacted by Track and Trace, please let us know as soon as possible to give us enough time to re-sell your place and offer a transfer. Alternatively, you can find someone else to take your place for you.
Your Contact Details
All guests give their consent upon booking a retreat to us holding their contact details for at least 21 days after the date of departure. If it becomes necessary, these details can be passed to the relevant authorities if another guest or team member begins to display Covid-19 symptoms or another guest or member of staff tests positive for Covid-19.
We maintain records that will help trace who has been in contact with any infected individuals that have been to the property. We will also work with the local authorities to determine appropriate actions if a guest or contractor presents symptoms of Covid-19.
